Their captivating design, certainly set the place buzzing.
The Nigerian Community Waltham Forest (NICOWF) is a charitable
organisation born out of the necessity to foster and strengthen the bonds
among Nigerians living in the borough. According to records, Nigerians
settled in the area as far back as 1891. The current electoral register
shows that about 4,500 Nigerians live in the borough. This figure
ranks the Nigerian Community one of the largest in the area.
The organisation is dedicated to the improvement and empowerment
of Black People in general and those of Nigerian descent in particular. We
provide advice, support, guidance, counselling, advocacy and representation
services for the aforementioned group. Now that we are up
and running, our immediate task is to get as much publicity as possible but
also to get you involved and to become an active participant in our endeavours.
We believe that not only was an organisation of this nature overdue, but
come to think of it, how miraculous that we got along without it.
Join NICOWF
to continue the good work so far achieved and to increase the social activities
offered.
Please do browse the various sections and more importantly talk to us if
you need any further information. We do appreciate your support and thank
you very much for visiting our site.
